Who are we?

Nate & Leisi have created Palm Tree Studios together over the past 6 years.

Starting from Nate’s Terrigal home 6 years ago, together they have worked tirelessly to create a performing arts training institution like no other. Nate & Leisi started the company with a question “What would we have wanted as young performers that just wasn’t available??” The answer lies in our studio, a place where anyone can find their place in the arts, feel welcome and be whom ever they want to be. “I remember looking for an accredited Musical Theatre course option on the Central Coast and couldn’t find anything that wasn’t dance based, I had to go all the way to Sydney, I didn’t see why we didn’t have anything like this?” – Leisi Edmonds. Our members can take anything from a private vocal lesson to accredited courses studying full time. They can see a show in Sydney with us or come on our yearly trip to New York.

But most importantly they can come along and feel like they have a tribe they can be part of, a group of artists who share common interest. “My parents had nothing to do with the arts, we were a football family, I want to create a place for parents to bring their kids who may not understand the arts, a place that has the best teachers that we can trust to point kids in the right direction” – Nate Butler

Past Students ….

Welcome to our creative space!

We provide the Central Coast with singing lessons, guitar lessons and acting classes, for our advanced musical theatre and acting students we provide career representation through our agency.

We have been open for 6 years providing elite training to singer songwriters and Musical Theatre performers in the beautiful surroundings of the NSW Central Coast. This is an environment of fun and learning where everyone is excepted, we are a family of performers who work and train together to be the best we can be.

The studio has around 500 students studying from private lessons to our primary school musical theatre programs right through to our full-time cert IV and Diploma in Musical Theatre. Through our courses, we produce 15 Musical and 5 major events every year allowing our students a place to develop their craft and put it into action on the stage.

We go on a New York tour every year where students work with Broadway Musical Directors, Casting Agents, Actors, Show Managers, perform at the world’s best cabaret room 54 below and receive advice on how to move to broadways and work

from other Australians who have successfully made the trip to America.

Our teachers are the best in the business and include, Pippa Grandison, Steve Le Marquand, Nick Christo, Derek Walker, Todd Keys, Nate Butler & Leisi Edmonds.

We are not a dance school, we provide training for dancers and love having dancers learn from us but we focus on acting and singing making sure our students are taught the most relevant techniques. Once ready our students can join our in-house agency and be sent for auditions with Sydney and Melbourne casting directors for anything from TV & Film work to professional musicals.

Take a look around our website and give us a call to chat about anything you are interested in.
