One month of fundraising to create a new performance space for the central coast!!

We want to create a community performance space like no other on the coast.

The set up of our new studios is now complete and we are so happy with the result!!

BUT – We have two spare warehouses which will only be used for classes for our full time course, so we thought what do the performers of the coast need?

The performers of the coast need a cost effective performance and rehearsal space which they don’t have to sell a certain amount of tickets or sell a certain amount of drinks and food to use.

Nate Butler’s Studio has been putting on a range of performance opportunities and competitions for the past 5 years. In the past we have used a range of clubs and restaurants to put on these event, we would now like to create a performance space attached to our teaching studios.

We have run many successful singing competitions such as “Sing For Your Supper” & “Sing Your Face Off”, which have given away over $50,000 in cash and prizes so far, We have run performance showcases and open mics with local clubs giving local performers a chance to fine tune there performances!! We also run the “Carols by Schooner light” with Shelly Beach Golf Club, which raises money thousands of dollars for the Ronald McDonald Family room at Gosford Hospital, which brings crowds of up to 2000 people. So we have plenty of experience at running events.

OUR NEW VISION
We want to create an affordable new 50 seat performance space to be used by or students and anyone in the community who needs a space. Which can also double as a practice space for large community groups.
We see the space being used for live music nights, open mic’s, small plays, cabarets or whatever the local arts community want it for.
We want to use is to run Masterclasses, Workshops and a range of other learning events for our Central Coast!!
We are located only a 10 min walk from Gosford train station which will allow this performance space to be accessed by all of the Central Coast.
This is what the money is going towards and the order in how we will use the contributions.

1 – Leveling out the floors and covering them

2 – Fixing the walls and roof

3 – Purchase of new sound system and lighting

4 – Purchase of seats

5 – Stage

6 – Alarm system

By building this space we will be able to full fill our dream of opening a performance space for not only our students but for the local community. Your contribution is the key to the success of this space.
